We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to undertake expense review and approval, and other various duties within our Accounting department. You will be responsible for various components of the accounts payable cycle as well as other ad-hoc administrative tasks assigned. This position is a 3 month temporary contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve expense reports.
  • Set up new employees in NetSuite and Concur.
  • Assist with updating expense related reports.
  • Code for credit cards and expense reports.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable.
  • Assist with accounts reconciliation.
  • File and maintain up-to-date accounting records.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

­About you:

This is a junior role for an Accounting Clerk that can demonstrate an aptitude in one or more of the following areas:

  • Degree or diploma, preferably Accounting related.
  • You have 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • You have strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; knowledge of NetSuite and Concur would be an asset.
  • You’re naturally organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple priorities.
  • You are able to resolve most problems independently and know when to seek help.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You are able to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness.
  • You’re a great team player and customer service oriented.
  • You are always looking to improve.

Salary:

This is a temporary 3 month contract. The typical hiring range for this position is from $41,000 to $53,000 annually and this contract will be prorated accordingly. The salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our compensation package temporary employees in this position are eligible for: 4 paid vacation days and 5 sick days for a 3 month contract. Temporary employees are not eligible for our company bonus program, equity offerings, health benefits, or our RRSP program.
