Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and decisive Program Director to join our dynamic team in Tokyo, Japan. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful implementation of strategic initiatives across our organization. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage multiple programs, align them with organizational goals, and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Develop and execute comprehensive program strategies that align with organizational objectives
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery
- Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program progress and success
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for program improvement and expansion
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors
- Provide regular updates and presentations to executive management on program status and outcomes
- Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact program success
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the program management team
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successful program implementation
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation
- Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in complex, fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices in program management
- Experience with organizational development and change management principles
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to local business practices in Tokyo
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Japanese is highly desirable
