The opportunity

Spark is looking for a driven, dynamic and experienced sales professional who can leverage their existing connections within their robust network in the real estate industry to drive business growth. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts on the East Coast, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You will play a critical role in expanding our client base by utilizing your industry knowledge and relationships to identify and engage high-potential prospects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Full sales cycle responsibility, including prospecting, generating opportunities, conducting discovery meetings, running demonstrations, and closing accounts.
  • Leveraging your existing industry network to quickly generate high-quality leads and opportunities, accelerating sales cycles.
  • Proactively prospecting and self-sourcing new clients through networking, cold-calling, and engaging past prospects to raise awareness of Spark’s solutions.
  • Emphasis on consultative selling in all prospect conversations, focusing on educating customers about the value and benefits of Spark’s solutions.
  • Capable of driving performance with minimal supervision, while effectively collaborating with a passionate team dedicated to supporting your success.
  • Utilizing HubSpot to manage and track all outbound communication. Prioritize, organize, and set appointments for qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Regular deal forecasting, pipeline management, and maintaining funnel health to ensure consistent sales performance.
  • Continuous development of sales skills through frequent 1:1 sessions and group training programs.
  • Staying updated with new product features and updates to effectively communicate value propositions to prospects.
  • Conducting professional and compelling proposal presentations, contract reviews, negotiations, and deal closure meetings.
  • Ensuring a smooth transition of newly acquired customers to the Customer Success team for seamless onboarding.
  • Maintaining high energy levels and fostering a positive, motivated atmosphere within the team.
  • Building and nurturing long-term relationships with key industry contacts to enhance networking and referral opportunities.
  • Providing market insights and feedback to the marketing and product teams to help refine strategies and improve offerings.

What you’ll need

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of sales experience, including a proven track record of closing deals.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in SaaS or other technology companies, preferably within the real estate or related industries.
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for technology and cloud-based products.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience leading a consultative sales approach, running demos, and effectively educating clients on the value of solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft sales strategies for specific verticals/territories and build/execute on account and territory plans.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams, such as Sales Engineers, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Proven ability to produce, qualify, and close business opportunities with minimal guidance, leveraging industry networks and personal connections.
  • A competitive and strategic mindset, with a demonstrated track record of achieving high-performing sales results.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking to enhance sales skills, strategies, and processes.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with key industry contacts to drive business growth.

We are looking for an intuitive individual who thrives on driving new business and leveraging an existing network within the industry. You are a dedicated professional eager to expand your network of business relationships and close deals in a rapid-growth environment. Highly organized and technically strong, the ideal candidate will focus on small to medium real estate development businesses (SMB) while also having the business acumen and professional adaptability to work toward larger enterprise-level clients.
You are confident, articulate, instinctive, and sensitive to the needs of the customers. Ideally, you have experience managing the full sales cycle from qualification to close, and you excel in consultative selling. Your ability to quickly build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with key industry contacts will be crucial in driving business growth. What we offer

Salary Range
The base pay range for this position is between CA$ 75,000 and CA$ 95,000 per year plus uncapped commission for Toronto-based roles
The final compensation offer will reflect our consideration of factors such as the candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and geographic location.
