The Knowledge Translation Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the Swift Skin and Wound Solution with a focus on clinical efficiency in implementing evidence-based wound care and improving patient outcomes. The position requires strong clinical knowledge and judgement, research skills, and attention to detail in creating evidence based-clinical tools. This is a short term 3-4 month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the VP, Clinical Innovation and SVP, Client Success develop and execute a work plan to deliver evidence-based summaries that can be integrated in point of care clinical tools
  • Conduct rapid evidence reviews to identify wound care guidelines to inform content development
  • Collect, organize and document supporting evidence for clinical content
  • Work closely with Commercial Team partners to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations for clinical content delivery
  • Summarize best practice guidelines for wound care in a structured way for hand off to our product team.
  • Create summaries of rules and logic for regulatory reporting requirements in skilled nursing (e.g., MDS 2.0, MDS 3.0, LTCF)
  • Summarize essential components of best practice-based guidelines into actionable care-plans, interventions and goals for clinicians
  • Identify SNOWMED/LOINC terminology relevant to wound care that can be integrated into standardized questionnaires to improve data reporting an interoperability

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • Experience in wound care, skilled nursing, or wound/WOC certification preferred.
  • Master of Nursing or PhD in nursing or clinical discipline
  • 3-5 years experience translating research and best-practice guidelines into clinical tools (e.g. order sets, clinical decision support tools) or policies
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical workflows and health care regulation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a virtual environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with MS365, Zotero, and Confluence is considered an asset
